Dialogues@RU is a journal of undergraduate work completed in the Writing Program course “Research in the Disciplines” (English 201), which teaches students the crucial skills of critical reading and thinking, scholarly research, synthesis, and analytic writing across the disciplines. Students complete research on topics in areas of study including the STEM fields, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Film, and Literature. The papers engage a wide array of topics, but share in common the advancement of an important conversation from an original point of view. The writers have read scholarly texts, thought critically about them, and developed a written argument based on conceptually rich analysis. You will be impressed with the accomplishments of these Rutgers students whose papers were selected from more than 250 manuscripts submitted annually for consideration.
